Health and Social Care Select Committee Inquiry on Sexual Health Update

As part of the ongoing Health and Social Care Select Committee inquiry into sexual health, the Committee has now published submissions received to its public consultation process that closed in October.

Over 70 submissions were made to the Committee’s inquiry and these are available to read in full online here, including the joint BASHH and BHIVA submission. The BASHH and BHIVA submission is also available to download as a PDF using the link below.

The Committee’s inquiry provides an important opportunity to demonstrate the impact public health funding cuts are having on patients, healthcare professionals and public health. The inquiry will also create a high-level platform for the Committee to identify service pressures and advocate to Government and policymakers about the need to support the long-term viability of sexual health in this country.

The Committee’s oral evidence sessions are expected to take place in January, with more information due to be available in the coming weeks.
