BASHH standards:
BASHH standards are developed in collaboration with key voluntary sector organisations, professional associations and public health bodies, offering essential guidance for UK commissioners, providers and healthcare professionals in the field of Sexual Health and HIV.
Given the UK's high rates of sexual ill health, especially among certain population groups, aligning services with BASHH standards is crucial for improving health outcomes and reducing health inequalities.
These standards support commissioners and providers in delivering high-quality sexual health services and set expectations for the public accessing these services. The standards reflect current best practices in sexual health management and are intended for use across all services commissioned by local authorities or the NHS and are also strongly recommended for use in independent services, not commissioned by the public sector
